Dr. B.R. Shetty is one of the leading business icons in the Middle East. He was listed among Forbes' Top 2 Indian business leaders in the Arab world in 2018. Dr. Shetty is a self-made entrepreneur with over 39 years of experience establishing and growing global businesses across the healthcare, financial services, pharmaceuticals, education, FMCG and hospitality sectors.
Dr. Shetty is the founder of NMC Health PLC and Finablr PLC. He currently serves as the Co-Chairman of Finablr PLC, which is listed on the Premium Segment of the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. He also serves as the Joint Non-Executive Chairman of NMC Health PLC, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, included as a part of the coveted Financial Times Stock Exchange 100 Index and inducted into the prestigious MSCI World Index.
A passionate advocate of corporate social responsibility, Dr. Shetty is a signatory to "The Giving Pledge," a global philanthropy initiative, committing to donate half his wealth to charity. His business accomplishments and exceptional social work have earned him the "Order of Abu Dhabi", the highest civilian honour bestowed by the Government of Abu Dhabi. He is a recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri award, one of the highest civilian honours from the Government of India for his outstanding achievements and contributions to business and trade.
Additionally, the then President of India, the late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam conferred upon him the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award for his outstanding contribution towards the betterment of the Non-Resident Indian community. Dr. Shetty was conferred with a Doctorate by Georgia State University, Atlanta, USA, and an Honorary Doctorate from Middlesex University, Dubai. He is also a member of the International Advisory Board of Boston University in the United States.
Binay ShettyVice Chairman
Binay Shetty is the Vice Chairman of UAE Exchange. Binay has over 14 years of experience, with a focus on strategy and corporate governance. His experience in building and growing international businesses has been central in shaping the overall strategy and direction of the company.
Binay is also an Executive Director at Finablr. He is responsible for setting the strategic vision and direction for the Finablr Group, defining its priorities and providing advice on developments that can have an impact on the Group's strategic initiatives.
Prior to his current responsibility, Binay was a board member of NMC Health PLC, where he also held the position of Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the operations, human resources, marketing, technology and project management functions. Binay brings a strong combination of leadership acumen and cross-industry expertise.
Binay holds a degree in Business Administration with a specialisation in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Boston University in the United States. He also serves as Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BRS Ventures Investments Limited. Binay is a board member of the Indian Business & Professional Group Abu Dhabi, the Center for Technology and Economic Development (a research center at New York University Abu Dhabi) and the UAE Genetic Diseases Association. He is also a managing trustee of the Dr. B.R. and Dr. C.R. Shetty Foundation.
Promoth Manghat is the President of UAE Exchange. With over 20 years of experience, Promoth is an acknowledged expert and thought leader in the Fintech and Financial Inclusion domains.
Promoth also serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer at Finablr, responsible for the Group's strategy execution and management. In addition to this, he has direct responsibility for the "B2B and Payments Technology Solutions" segment including building relationships and partnering with blue chip global clients to provide bespoke solutions catering to their unique payments needs.
Promoth started his career with Alstom, before joining the Group in 2001. Over the years, he has held different leadership positions and was instrumental in transforming the Group into a truly global player with market leadership in various segments. In 2015, Promoth was elevated to the position of Chief Executive Officer of UAE Exchange. Further on he led the formation of Finablr, bringing together the various global brands of the Group under one umbrella, and was appointed its Group Chief Executive Officer in 2018.
A sought-after speaker at industry forums and conventions, Promoth has been featured amongst the "100 Inspiring Leaders in the Middle East" and as a "Top 50 Fintech Influencer in the Middle East". He also serves on the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Global Steering Committee for Promoting Global Financial Inclusion (PGFI) that seeks to drive sustainable financial inclusion through digital means.
Promoth is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Abdulrahman BasaddiqNon-Executive Director
Abdulrahman Basaddiq is a Non-Executive Director of UAE Exchange. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (FCA) and a licensed auditor and consultant in the UAE. He trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young, London, and spent over 25 years with Ernst & Young in the UK and the GCC, 15 of those as an equity partner. During his period at EY, Abdulrahman served as the Managing Partner of their Riyadh and Abu Dhabi offices, in addition to responsibilities as UAE Country Partner-in-Charge. During his tenure in Riyadh, he served as an elected member of the firm's Executive Committee for eight years, in addition to serving on the Human Resources Committee for a number of years.
Abdulrahman has also spent over 12 years with several Gulf-based diversified groups across multiple jurisdictions and sectors including healthcare, global public and private equities, venture capital, real estate investment, development and construction, steel trading and fabrication, in addition to food manufacturing, retail and packaging.
Abdulrahman is currently a Non-Executive Director of Finablr PLC, an LSE listed company; Non-Executive Director of NMC Health PLC, an FTSE 100 listed company; and a Non-Executive Director of ADNH Compass LLC. Previously, he was Chairman of the Board of One Financial Markets.
Pradeep KumarExecutive Director
Pradeep Kumar is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of UAE Exchange. Pradeep is a seasoned senior professional who brings significant experience in the payments sector. With over 16 years of experience, his expertise lies in managing finance, operations and the shared services functions.
Pradeep also serves as the Group Head of Cross Border Payments and Consumer Solutions at Finablr. He plays an instrumental role in growing this business segment and enhancing its profitability. In addition to his functional responsibility, he holds the title of Chief Executive Officer of Unimoni, a Finablr go-to-market brand.
Having joined the Group in 2005, Pradeep has served in various senior leadership roles, driving numerous transformation programs over the last 14 years. He holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Abdel Kareem is the General Manager and UAE Country Head of UAE Exchange, spearheading the brand's operations in the United Arab Emirates. An industry veteran, he brings over two decades of experience in the banking and finance industry, leading management and business teams to deliver enhanced value to customers and stakeholders.
Abdel Kareem is responsible for driving business strategies that boost growth, operational efficiencies, market share and profitability, while keeping the focus on continuous improvement and innovation. He is instrumental in designing and executing customer-first plans that positively impact business and operational excellence and improve the overall customer experience and brand reputation. Under his able leadership, UAE Exchange continues to grow and be acknowledged as a trusted and market-leading brand in the UAE through innovative strategies and offerings.
Abdel Kareem joined UAE Exchange in 2008. Since then, he has held multifaceted roles that have seen him successfully set up, lead and expand the brand's operations in Jordan and other countries in the region. His knowledge of and strong experience in the Arab markets enables him to provide counsel across the board and actively contribute to achieving the brand's goals in the region.
Prior to joining UAE Exchange, Abdel Kareem was associated with Arab Bank Plc in Amman, Jordan.
Abdel Kareem is a postgraduate in Marketing from Amman Arab University, Jordan, and holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Yarmouk University, Jordan.
