Abu Dhabi, 29 August 2017: The atmosphere at UAE Exchange Global Headquarters in Abu Dhabi was abuzz with excitement. Designer Abayas, sounds of giggles, laughter and animated chatter could be seen and heard from every corner of the hall. And why not? It was a special day.
Around 200 Emirati women staff came together to celebrate the third Emirati Women’s Day in the office premise. Coming from across the seven emirates, where the brand’s operation is present, the Emirati women enjoyed some fun-filled activities including interactive sessions, quiz, henna etc.
Captain Salama Al Yammahi, Director’s Office, Criminal Security Sector – Abu Dhabi Police, and Ms. Lana Salem, Director – Berlitz Corporation, were the Guests of Honour. Chief Guests included Ms. Ghalia AlMuhairi – Yas Police, Ms. Nagham Kablawi, Director – Berlitz Corporation, and Ms. Fareeda Saada from Berlitz Corporation.
Addressing the august gathering were the senior leadership team of UAE Exchange – President Y. Sudhir Kumar Shetty, Chief People Officer Greg Shuler, Country Head for UAE Abdel Kareem Alkayed and Director for Emiratisation Development Bouchra Navel, who spoke on the strength, empowerment and contribution of the Emirati women towards the growth of the country and the organisation.
The event was organised by the brand’s Network of Women (NOW), one of UAE Exchange employee network groups. NOW was launched earlier this year on International Women’s Day. It is a forum created by and for the women employees of UAE Exchange to enable and empower themselves to grow not just in their careers but also to fulfil their personal ambitions.
