In a glittering ceremony held at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of Economy, H.E Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri presented the coveted Emiratisation Award to UAE Exchange,

the leading global remittance, foreign exchange and payment solutions brand. The award is in recognition for recruiting the Emiratis across the spectrum of the brand’s operations in the UAE, especially in the field of Accounting, Auditing and Financial Management.

While receiving the prestigious award, Chief Executive Officer of UAE Exchange, Promoth Manghat said: “We are extremely honoured to be bestowed with the prestigious Emiratisation Award. UAE Exchange has always been an active corporate citizen. We have aligned ourselves with the vision of the Government of the UAE for the younger citizens. We select, train and absorb competent national talent into our corporate fold, where they get an opportunity to contribute to the success journey and build a career as a result of it.”

“Our constant efforts have made us the great place to work for the enterprising young Emiratis, who comprise of around 12 per cent of our workforce today. We thank the Ministry of Economy and the benevolent Rulers of this great country for bestowing on us this prestigious honour. We reinforce our commitment of aligning ourselves to the vision of the UAE,” added Promoth.

UAE Exchange has always been in the forefront in supporting the career aspirations of the Emirati youth and cultivating their talent for leadership roles. Over the years, it has made significant progress in creating sustainable employment opportunities for the UAE Nationals in alignment with the vision of the government for Emiratisation.

Hiring the Emirati National in its UAE operation has been a key priority for the brand. The second priority has been training the Emirati students through Taleem, a four to eight weeks internship programme. It provides them a platform to gain real time work experience and contribute productively towards the economic growth of the country and the organisation’s goals.

The on-the-job training includes mentorship by experienced senior staff, augmenting industry knowledge base, developing confidence and communication abilities to face corporate challenges and an opportunity to earn stipend while studying.

The Emiratisation programme at the organisation has also attracted married women as it gives them an opportunity to empower themselves and their families financially.

Continuing with its efforts, UAE Exchange plans to accelerate its Emirati employment more intensively over the coming years. Association with the Emiratisation authorities, TANMIA, educational institutions/universities and participation in various career fairs like National Career Exhibition (Sharjah), Careers UAE (Dubai), Tawdheef (Abu Dhabi), Efair (organised by AUH government) among others has helped the brand to spot and nurture a talent pool to compete at a global platform.
